Hi there! I’m Lauren.
Like most of us, my husband Jake and I spent a lot of time at home in 2020. We had just moved to a new city at the end of 2019 and, as newlyweds, we were excited to make our (rental) townhome home, but had no idea just how much time we would be spending there. I quickly became passionate about designing our space to fit our personality and evolving daily needs over the course of that year.
In the process, I began sharing snaps of my spaces online, and friends and family began reaching out for design advice. This made me realize my passion and visual learning ability (paired with my formal design education) for residential interior design was well suited to share with others. Thus, Griffith Design Co. was born in Spring 2021.
An architectural designer by day, I work in corporate architecture designing a wide range of restaurant, retail and commercial spaces. I studied at Kent State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture, then going on to obtain my Master’s degree at the Kent State’s Cleveland Urban Design Collaborative.
Jake and I just purchased our first home in North Canton, Ohio and are so excited for the opportunity to display our designs in our very own space. Having travelled across the world, including western Europe and even South America, I am constantly drawing inspiration from various cultures and experiences that I bring into my designs. But my favorite place to be is at home, outside on the patio with my cat on my lap, probably flipping through an interiors magazine.
